Alpha particles

Alpha particles are deflected in magnetic and electric fields less than others, which made it difficult to identify them. Finally, the nature of α-particles was found out By E. Rutherford. Using experiments in a magnetic field, he determined the charge-mass ratio. Using a Geiger counter, I measured the number of particles emitted by the drug over a certain time, and using an electrometer, I determined their total charge, thus calculating the charge of one α-particle (+2). Experimentally, the nature of alpha particles was confirmed by spectral analysis of the gas formed in a few days in the reservoir in which Rutherford collected alpha particles. Each α-particle captured two electrons and turned into helium.
